Construction of Complete Care Chiropracitc & Massage
Complete Care Chiropractic and Massage's construction was done to achieve the client's goals for creating a sustainably built healthcare facility. It's energy efficient, water efficient, and full of smart design features were created by Batzer Construction's staff architect Gary Caperna. The super energy efficiency of the building was achieved by several means including: insulation, using passive solar window placement, and solar tubes bring in daylight so electric lighting is only minimally needed during the day. To achieve the great insulation levels, Batzer Construction installed a newer type of framing called "Structurally Insulated Panels," also known as SIPS. These R-45 rated 12-inch thick walls do not have typical 2×6 studs. Instead they are compromised of panels of plywood with a thick layer of polystyrene foam in the middle. It's strong enough to hold up the roof without a stud framing system and because the panels are solid and continuous. These walls do not have all of the air leaks that normal stud framed walls have. R-45 rated roof insulation and triple pane windows to reduce heating and cooling needs. As well as having 4 foot deep eaves on the south side, blocks the intense summer sun that would make an a/c unit work harder, using more power. The building was pre-wired to add solar panels at any point in time and they were installed by the owner shortly after construciton was complete. 14.1 MW PROJECT PLANNED FOR MCGRAW-HILL FACILITY IN EAST WINDSOR, NJ NEW YORK and WALL, NJ, June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP) and NJR Clean Energy Ventures (NJRCEV), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR), today announced plans to build on McGraw-Hill's East Windsor, NJ, campus the largest privately-owned, net-metered solar project in the Western Hemisphere. The 14.1 megawatt solar system will significantly offset the need for other energy sources to run McGraw-Hill's offices in East Windsor, including the Corporation's growing data center. I ran this cell the day before for about 3 hours breaking it in, making sure everything is in good operational order, etc. This is day two, from a cold start and water mixture left sitting overnight, used. All is good, not even a hint of any issues. Started right up, hho gas started producing instantly and I wanted to check the production. I didn't have any accurate measuring devices with me, since it is many miles from my shop, and is out in the middle of nowhere in a corn field. But you get the idea, it's pretty darn good. Solar power restores electricity to remote Croatian village A family of war returnees from the remote village of Ajderovac in Lika up to recently lived without electricity. The electricity supply to the village was cut off from the energy grid during the 1991-95 war. To help them, UNDP has secured construction of a solar photovoltaic system which was installed on the roof of their stable. The system supplies electricity to this six-member family, with the possibility of extending the energy supply to the whole community of seven families (some of whom live in the village only part of the year). Two thirds of the investment value came in the form of an in-kind donation by a private producer of solar technology EnergyPLUS from Ludbreg, with UNDP funding the rest.
